Privacy Policy

This policy describes how the Seam Downloader Android app ("the App"), published by Seam Apps, handles information. The App lets users save videos from the web for offline viewing on their own device.

Summary

• We do not require accounts, sign-in, or personal information to use the App.
• We do not track your browsing activity or the videos you download.
• The only data we collect is anonymous crash reports, used to diagnose bugs and improve stability.
• Downloaded videos, browsing history inside the App, and app settings are stored only on your device. We never see them.

Information we collect

The App uses Google Firebase Crashlytics to record crash reports when the App stops working unexpectedly. A crash report contains:

• The stack trace and error message from the crash
• The device model and Android version
• The App version and build identifier
• A randomly generated installation identifier that is not linked to your identity

Crash reports do not contain your name, email, IP address (beyond what is needed to deliver the report), contact details, download history, browsing history, watched content, or the contents of any file on your device.

How we use it

Crash reports are used only to identify and fix bugs. They are not sold, shared with advertisers, or used for profiling.

Who processes it

Crash reports are transmitted to and stored by Google's Firebase Crashlytics service. Google acts as a data processor. Their handling of this data is governed by Google's own privacy terms — see Firebase privacy and security.

Information stored only on your device

The following stay on your device and are never transmitted to us or any third party by the App:

• Videos you download
• Pages you visit in the App's built-in browser (cached by Android's WebView)
• App settings and preferences
• Your completed, active, and failed download lists

If you uninstall the App, Android removes all of this data.

Permissions the App requests

• Internet / Network state — to download videos and detect network availability.
• Storage (Media access) — to save downloaded videos to your device.
• Notifications — to show download progress and completion.
• Foreground service — to keep downloads running when the App is in the background.
• Wake lock — to prevent downloads from being interrupted when the screen turns off.
• Boot completed — to restore notification state after the device restarts.

Children

The App is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children.

Your choices

Because the App does not require an account, there is no profile to modify or delete. To stop all data collection by the App, uninstall it. Uninstalling removes all locally stored data and prevents any future crash reports from being sent.

Changes to this policy

If we change how the App handles data, we will update this page and the effective date above. Continued use of the App after changes means you accept the updated policy.
